Vegetarian Tips & Tid-bits: Omega-3

Omega-3 is an essential fatty acid important for human health during all stages of life.
Most people get their Omega-3 intake from seafood, however fish is not the world's only source of Omega-3.
Omega-3 can be found in many other tasty (and extremely nutritious) foods that are suitable for those maintaining a vegetarian or vegan diet and lifestyle.

Non-seafood sources of Omega-3 include flax seeds, kiwi fruit, lingonberries, chia, perilla, camelina, acai fruit and walnuts.

  1. good blog and wonderful snap..

  2. I'm passing this on the heartgirl, my partner who is vegetarian & her daughter LaBelle (after La Belle Sans Merci) who is vegan. Have a great weekend

  3. I didn't realise kiwi fruits were a good source of Omega-3, that's good to know as I love them!
