  1. Hadrian's Wall is in the north of England, near the Scottish border. It pretty much stretches from one side of the country to the other. It was commissioned by the Roman Emperor Hadrian to keep the "Picts" out of England during the 2nd C AD. It's a remarkable, beautiful site.
